Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Car Zone mobile application (the “App”) operated by Potentia Motus Ventures Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. The App

Car Zone helps you manage vehicles, maintenance and fuel history, documents and reminders, optional location-related tracking while active, important contacts, and a marketplace for automotive listings. Features may vary by platform, account status, and whether premium access is enabled.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be able to form a binding contract under applicable law to use the App. If you create an account, you are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for keeping your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Your content and vehicle data

You retain ownership of content you submit, including vehicle details, photos, documents, maintenance and fuel logs, reminders, contacts, and marketplace listings. You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display that content as needed to operate the App and features you enable (including optional cloud sync where offered).

You represent that you have the rights to submit the content and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.

5. Marketplace

Marketplace listings and communications between users are your responsibility. We do not broker, guarantee, or take part in transactions between users unless we expressly say otherwise. You must ensure listings are accurate, lawful, and not misleading. We may remove listings or restrict accounts that violate these Terms or our policies.

6. Location and tracking

Optional tracking features may use your device location only while you start and keep tracking active, subject to your operating-system permissions. Location history for a session is used to provide that feature. You can stop tracking and revoke permissions in your device settings.

7. Purchases and premium features

Premium access and in-app purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms. Entitlements may unlock features such as cloud sync or reduced advertising where configured. Refunds, billing disputes, and subscription management are handled through the applicable store unless required otherwise by law.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Misuse the App, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt its operation.
• Upload unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, or harmful content.
• Use the marketplace for spam, scams, or prohibited goods and services.
• Reverse engineer or copy the App except as allowed by law.

9. Third-party services

The App may rely on third-party services such as Firebase, Google Sign-In, app stores, advertising networks, and WhatsApp handoff for contacts you choose to open externally. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

10. Intellectual property

The App, branding, and related materials are owned by Potentia Motus Ventures Ltd or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of our intellectual property to you.

11. Disclaimers

The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Vehicle records, reminders, tax or cost estimates (if any), marketplace information, and tracking displays are tools to help you organize ownership — they are not professional legal, financial, insurance, or safety advice. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Potentia Motus Ventures Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business arising from your use of the App or interactions with other users. Our total liability for claims relating to the App is limited to the greater of amounts you paid us for premium access in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50, except where liability cannot be limited by law.

13. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us, or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by nature should survive termination will survive.

14. Privacy

How we handle personal information is described in the Car Zone Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms in the App or on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance, except where applicable law requires additional notice or consent.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence apply.
