DocWallet: Document Vault

Terms & Conditions

Effective and last updated: 20 September 2026

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms govern your use of the DocWallet app provided by Potentia Motus Ventures Limited. By using DocWallet, you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy. You must be legally able to enter this agreement; if you use the app for an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind it. Contact: info@potentiamotus.biz or +256726195581.

2. Service and accounts

DocWallet provides document capture, editing, organization, local storage, optional cloud synchronization and related tools. Features can differ by platform, device, account and subscription. You are responsible for keeping your account and device secure and for activity under your credentials. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Your documents

You retain ownership of documents you upload or create. You grant us and our service providers only the permissions needed to store, process, transmit and display them to provide the features you choose. You warrant that you have the rights and lawful basis to scan and store your documents, including any third-party personal information. You must not use the app for illegal, infringing or harmful activity.

4. Local files and backups

A completed scan is saved locally before cloud upload is queued. Synchronization can be delayed or fail because of network, account, storage or provider issues. You are responsible for maintaining independent backups of important documents and checking that a backup has completed. The app is a convenience tool and should not be your sole record of irreplaceable material.

5. Purchases and subscriptions

Paid features, prices, billing periods and renewal terms are shown before purchase in the applicable app store. The store processes payment and manages cancellation and refunds under its rules, subject to mandatory law. Cancel through the store before renewal if you do not want the next charge. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. We may change future prices or features with notice where required.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep DocWallet reliable but may maintain, modify, suspend or discontinue features when reasonably necessary. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, perfect scanning or OCR accuracy, or successful upload on every network. Verify any extracted text, forms, calculations and exported documents before relying on them.

7. Intellectual property and restrictions

We and our licensors own the app, branding and underlying technology. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the app under these Terms. Do not reverse engineer, interfere with security, misuse the service or attempt unauthorized access, except where applicable law expressly permits it.

8. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided with reasonable care but without guarantees beyond those expressly stated or required by law. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special losses, lost profits or data loss arising from use of the app, except where the law does not allow exclusion. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us through the app in the 12 months before the claim, or the minimum amount required by applicable law, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or wilful misconduct.

9. Suspension, termination and disputes

We may suspend access for serious misuse, security concerns or legal requirements, with notice where practicable. You may stop using the app and request account deletion at any time. Ugandan law governs these Terms, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern; courts with lawful jurisdiction may hear unresolved disputes.

10. Updates and contact

We may revise these Terms and will give notice of material changes as required by law. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms where permitted. Questions or notices: info@potentiamotus.biz; +256726195581.
